Let Us Not Boast
prayer:
Hail & Fire
May the God of our salvation comfort us.
May we walk in his ways and observe his sayings.
May the grace and the glory of God rest upon us.
May we grow continually in the knowledge of him.
May we boast not against one another;
but if we boast let us boast in him who opened
our eyes to the Light of his Glorious Word;
but in ourselves let us not boast.
May we glory in him only who redeemed us.
May we glory in him only who set us apart to himself.
May we give thanks continually and glorify him only
who in due time caused our eyes to see his
marvelous light.
Give thanks to him, give thanks to him continually,
whose wisdom is beyond our understanding,
and whose mercy is abundant and a delight.
Give thanks to him by whose longsuffering and
patience we came to believe and who forgave
our sins utterly.
Give thanks to him who makes known to us the generosity
of his grace and mercy toward us according to his
power which works in us.
Glory to God the Most High!
